Spices - Salt, turmeric powder and mustard seeds

Instructions

Boil water in the pan
-
Add salt in the water
-
Add rice savian in the water
-
Boil for 1-2 minutes till savian become soft

Drain the savian
-
Heat oil in the pan
-
Add ingredients one by one as given in next step

Add peanuts, almonds, cashew nuts, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, red chilies and urad dal

Keep stirring
-
Roast till all ingredients turn brown

Add asafoetida, turmeric powder and salt. Salt should be added in the end.

Stir properly
-
Switch off the gas/heater
-
Add boiled savian and mix the ingredients properly

Garnish with coriander

Rice savian are ready to serve. Serve hot.
Recipe Notes
- Do add salt in boiling water otherwise rice savian may turn sticky.
